Traditional hardwood materials meet the strict regulations imposed by the Snowdonia National Park authorities who prohibit the use of modern materials within the park area.

Heritage Hardwood is committed to caring for the environment and only uses timber from ethically managed forests. As mature trees are felled, young ones are planted to take their place. This kind of sustainable forestry reduces the effect of global warming by consuming the greenhouse gas C02 and therefore preserving the planet for our childrens' future.

Growing one ton of timber uses over 50 kilos of C02, which is how much an average car produces over 70,000 miles. PVCu, by contrast, is a derivative of oil and its production into plastic contributes to global warming.

All paints used by Heritage Hardwood are lead-free and have no harmful effects on the environment.
